January theme: "2022"
"The beginning of the year"
I would like to take photographs that will show our family and our children, the people they interacted with, how they spent their time, what they learned, so that when they grow up they will be able to understand their roots and how their mother saw it all.
My goal is to release the shutter when I feel emotions other than the positive ones like cute, beautiful, and warm.I would like to take photographs that will show our family and our children, the people they interacted with, how they spent their time, what they learned, so that when they grow up they will be able to understand their roots and how their mother saw it all.

We asked everyone to submit their photos with the hope that thinking about photos that fit the theme would allow them to think again about what they want to do with themselves, their families, and photos this year; that putting their photos into words might help them realize something, and that having others see them would help them prepare themselves.
It's difficult to choose just one photo after seeing all the photos and captions filled with the members' feelings, but the one I chose this time is this one of Kato-chan. She said she wanted to take a photo that would show the children in the frame their roots and how their mothers saw them, and I think this is exactly what she wanted.
I felt the relationships between each person, the emotions conveyed by each person's gaze, how everyone was engrossed in the camera without even looking at it, and the camera being there as if it were a natural part of the family scene. Everyone has such a lovely expression. I'm sure they always love and enjoy this scenery like this, taking photos as they are. I felt the photographer Kato-chan's gaze was filled with emotion.
When you grow up and look back at photos from your childhood, isn't it fun to see what you and the people around you were like when you were little? This photo of everyone in the frame and Kato-chan the photographer is full of happy memories whenever I look back on it, and it made me realize that I want to take more photos like that, so I'd like to add that to my goals for 2022.
