Special Selection "Spring 2022"

Manazashi Photo Club Photo Contest Grand Prize
My daughter started elementary school.
As always, I'm the photographer.
On the way home from the entrance ceremony,
While walking a little behind,
I took pictures of the two of them interacting,
Taking pictures of roadside flowers,
Taking pictures of the sky,
I want to preserve the atmosphere of that day.
As I was taking various photos,
"Maybe I should take a picture with Toto's smartphone."
While waiting for the traffic light
The photoshoot began.
The two shy people are similar
At school, I was being rude and taking pictures of her.
Toto grinned,
My daughter was posing,
A scene that is somehow reminiscent of longing,
I couldn't help but take a picture.

It was just a casual moment,
The exchange of glances between father and daughter
I think I was able to keep it.

It was a photo that captured the happiness of the calm and gentle couple on a special spring day. It really makes you feel the warmth of spring. The husband is smiling as he takes a picture of his daughter, and the daughter is a little shy as she poses, which is very endearing. I really like how they bent down to take the photo. Meeting the gaze of their child, it feels like they are in sync. The photo of the couple was taken from a step back as if not to disturb them, and the photographer's gaze, which seems to be of great importance to him, is calm and gentle, and the excitement tickles the heart, which made me think this was also spring-like.
