Special Selection: "I'm Watching"

Manazashi Photo Club First Period Photo Contest "Manazashi" Grand Prize
I wish my eyes were cameras.
I wish I could take a picture by blinking.
Something I've been thinking about ever since my daughter was born.

My daughter became a big sister at 18 months old. Looking back, she was still a baby at 18 months old. Recently, we've been fighting a lot and my son makes me cry, but she takes good care of him.

I wonder how many more months I'll be able to see my son in diapers. He often refuses, but he always listens to what his big sister says.

It grows big in the blink of an eye.
I'm always watching your growth.

The Japanese-style room that is taken over by doll strollers and jungle gyms, the cushions that everyone has sat on and are getting worn out... All the things in the photos are things that we take for granted now, but someday they will no longer be so.

I want to remember these ordinary everyday moments, so I will continue taking photos as if blinking.

I think this photo shows the relationship between the two children. A caring older sister and a son who listens to what she says. The jungle gym and the clothes on the floor may seem normal now, but one day we won't be able to see them anymore. I felt the preciousness of those irreplaceable days. You click the shutter as if you were blinking, and you don't want to forget even a moment. I think that a mother's feelings will make her child happy.
