Winner of the "Manazashi" photo contest for the fourth period of the Manazashi Photo Club

"A Parting Glance"

The father waved his hand and looked at his grandson in the back seat.
The mother next to me was looking at her son in the driver's seat, not her grandson.

This photo, taken as we were saying goodbye, captured gazes and feelings that I had not noticed at the time.

Even after getting in the car, they kept waving at me. I've experienced the same thing, so I was happy, but also a little sad, and it was clear that they had had a fun and happy time together. The moment we parted ways was fitting for dusk, and it really touched my heart. The gazes directed at their grandson and son were overflowing with love, and the photo was carefully taken of a moment that would have been missed if it hadn't been taken. It was a photo that made me want to cherish every moment in the flow of time, and to capture it for later.
