My husband is so busy with work that he is hardly ever at home. He works until the early hours of the morning every weekday and on weekends too.
So I take the kids out alone so they can have a fun holiday even without their dad.

Looking back, the hardest time was when my eldest son was 3 and my second son was 1, rather than when I had 3 children. There were days when I wanted to cry in the park. I was jealous of the families I saw everywhere I went, and there were days when I stayed indoors.

But now, my grown-up children are helping me out more. I miss the days when I used to walk with my third son in a baby carrier and my hands holding my eldest and second sons. When we go to the park together, like on this day, the children walk on their own two feet, with my eldest son in the lead. The self-timer captures the joy of watching them from behind, and a little bit of loneliness.

This is a wonderful photo with a beautiful scene of light. I was moved by the photo, but the distance between the mother and child and the way the mother watches over her child made me feel the joy and loneliness of their growth. The evening scenery illuminates that loneliness even more emotionally. This photo makes me envious and want to take a photo with my own feelings projected on it using the self-timer.
