Special Selection: "Chain of Gazes"

Winner of the "Manazashi" photo contest held by the Manazashi Photo Club
Operate with familiarity
The hands of my 88th great-grandfather

The gaze of my great-grandchildren looking back

Press the shutter button to save the image.
That gaze is like a talisman
I will always be close to my great-grandfather.

Rather than sharing any high-quality photo,
There is value in the gaze of touching and photographing with your own fingers.
It seems like I can hear that message
I was a little taken aback.

So I'll take a step back.
I plan to take a photo of that entire exchange.
"Grandpa, you've gotten so fast at using your smartphone."
"Oh, he's looking at me!"
"Don't cry, you're great"
Even though they are not on camera, the voices can be heard.
The kind gazes of everyone around me
The photos will definitely remain.

Comment from Advisor

The grandfather lovingly photographs his grandson, and the photo on his smartphone captures the grandfather's gaze, and the grandfather's thoughts are also conveyed in this photo. And from Popo, who mainly photographs the grandfather's gaze, it was clear that he cherishes the grandfather's feelings. I think this is a gentle and strong photo.
