December theme: "My 2022"
I joined the Manazashi Photo Club.
I was able to talk about photography, life, and family with my friends.
Thanks to that
The photos you want to take
The scenery we want to gaze at is the same
I realized this in 2022
Moved to new house for Christmas
The two of us sitting at the same table
Looking through the viewfinder
My heart is filled with the joy of being together
I was on the verge of tears when I took the picture.
I want to see the scenery I gazed upon from now on
I want to leave it with my feelings

The theme for December was "My 2022."
I chose this theme with the hope that it would be an opportunity to look back on what kind of year it was. I also had a personal desire to know what kind of year it was for everyone. The club members sent in so many photos filled with memories of the past year, things they value, things they thought about again, their goals, and so on, that I almost regretted choosing just this one. But after looking at all the photos, I chose just this one. This is the one I'd like to introduce to you.
"My 2022". I think this photo clearly conveys the events of 2022, the realizations of 2022, and the emotions felt when this photo was taken in 2022. And although the theme was 2022, I felt that this photo conveyed the photographer's hope that the scene in the photo will continue on into the future, as it has in the past. We'll mark the end of 2022, but it's as if the accumulation of each day leads to a special year and a special life. This photo made me realize that the important things are in the everyday life.
