The seat of the balans Easy is slanted front to back, and the height differs depending on where you sit, so first you need to decide which position on the seat (front, center, or back) you want to sit in, balancing it with the height of your desk. Find the most comfortable position for the height of the seat in relation to the desk.
Next, decide where you want to position the knee cushion (with smooth function). The theory of balans sitting is to sit in a way that the angle between your stomach and thighs is about 120 degrees, but everyone has their own body shape and preferences, so please adjust the knee cushion to the most comfortable position for you.
In addition, we do not recommend sitting for long periods of time, not just with the balans Easy. Please use it while taking breaks, such as standing up every hour.

In the case of conventional four-legged chairs or office swivel chairs, if your feet don't touch the floor, your feet will dangle and your posture will easily collapse, making it difficult to sit down calmly, and it is also pointed out that it is difficult to chew properly.

Yes, it is okay. It depends on your height and the height of the desk, but when an adult sits down, their toes often touch the floor.

It can be used by people from 110cm to 180cm tall.

We recommend the short frame version for people who use desks with a lower height (around 65 cm) that are not compatible with standard frames, or for people who are 145 cm or taller and use desks with a height of 70–72 cm.

The material used for the Dress-up Cover New is made by a top-class manufacturer of upholstery fabric, and is a thick, very durable material, but due to the nature of the fabric, it may get pilling or fraying.
In this case, you can clean it by using a pilling tool. After using a pilling tool to remove the pilling, the material can be used without any problems in terms of quality. (In some cases, pilling may appear again, but in this case, too, please use a pilling tool to remove it.)

*The material used for the “water-repellent dot waffle” type is a material that is resistant to pilling, and we believe that it is unlikely to pill at all.

Please try the following procedure.

(1) Remove the adjustment screw and knee cushion from the frame.

(2) From the front of the frame, place the tip of the adjustment screw against the rubber disk.

(3) Push the rubber disk out with force.

If you are unable to remove the chair using the above method, please leave it for a day with the adjustment screw removed, and then try the above method again.

If you are using the chair on a wooden floor or tatami mat, please place a carpet on the floor or attach felt to the chair legs to prevent scratches.

We believe that the reason you feel uncomfortable on a chair with a parallel seat is not because you have become used to balans Easy, but is a natural thing.

As shown in the diagram below, children who sit on a flat chair may naturally sit in this way. We believe that this is because children feel uncomfortable sitting correctly on a flat-surface chair, and so they sit in this way, leaning the seat.

Also, while it is true that the difference in comfort between the balans Easy and a chair with a flat seat may be significant, we do not believe that it will prevent you from sitting on a chair with a flat seat for long periods of time or from sitting deeply.

We believe that the current situation with ordinary school chairs is that many of them cause the user to sit with their back bent over considerably, as shown in the diagram below.

In this situation, the way we recommend sitting, which depends on the height of the chair, is the way you mentioned, “sitting shallowly and putting your feet under the chair”.

Also, the theory of balans sitting is a way of sitting where the angle between your stomach and thighs is about 120 degrees, but school chairs are basically designed with the premise that the angle between your thighs and stomach is 90 degrees. So, it would actually be better to use a cushion that allows you to sit with the seat of the chair raised and the seat slightly tilted forward. (Such cushions are currently being developed.)

Also, we recommend that you do not lean back on the backrest.

Ideally, it would be better if you could change the chair, but if you can't change the chair, then the above suggestions would be appropriate.
